Welcome to our new site!

ACTIVATE was formed in 2004 by a group of local residents with the aim of improving the area for everyone.

Fishponds Park is in the centre of Fishponds shopping area and we are involved in the general upkeep and care of the flower beds and general tidiness.

A Sensory Garden has been created and children from local schools have helped in planting spring bulbs surrounding the War Memorial at the centre of the park.

We aim to make the park a welcoming green area for local people, for those who work in the area and for visitors. Activate introduced a Farmers' Market which was was held in Fishponds Park (currently postponed) and we hold drop-in lunchtime musical concerts on 2nd Friday each month at Fishponds Methodist Church, Guinea Lane, Fishponds.

A successful Horticultural Show is held annually in the church Hall of the Methodist Church - and our 'Celebration of Collecting' event is also now a successful annual event.
With 'St George in the Park' (one of our newest events) on or close to April 23rd - we have a varied programme of activities and events for all the family.
