ACTIVATE was started in 2004 by a group of local residents with the aim of improving the  local area for everyone.  

As well as helping to maintain Fishponds Park at the heart of Fishponds shopping centre, we also organise a number of events on an annual or occasional basis, for local residents and the wider community.

 

These include drop in lunchtime concerts, a free annual St. George's day celebration in the park, the Fishponds Horticultural show and 'Celebration of collecting' events.

 We are always keen to hear ideas for new events and projects and would welcome new recruits to help with organising and running our events. We are informal, sociable and friendly (and generally in the 'earlier covid vaccination' category!)
